Comfort and ease can be our downfall. The easy life will probably elude us because after Adam and Eve got booted from the Garden of Eden we were cursed to toil. God wanted us to work and not be on a perpetual vacation! We were made to strive, work, sweat, and serve. When our needs are all met we can easily become lethargic. Our tastes can veer to a momentary satisfaction but not for the long term. May the Lord help us to turn from these ways. Our thinking can become jaded without self-control and waste can overflow in our abundance. May the Lord bless our thoughts to live better for Christ.
