Peace Has Come
The dove is often used to represent peace. In the Bible it is used to represent the Holy Spirit. This painting was inspired by both of those images and the peace that comes through the Holy Spirit. The blossoms on the branch are there to represent hope. The background is composed of layers of paint that are applied with a palette knife. In some places the paint is scraped off to reveal the layers beneath the surface.
