Living Faith

3-3-2015Living Faith is a Christian Meditation Book For Kindle. These are the words of Jesus addressed to his disciples: “Who do people say that I am?” Was it important that Jesus knew what others say he was? Have you had the opportunity to ask someone what others are saying about you? Perhaps you were interested in knowing other opinion of you or what they thought about you. Perhaps we will never know why Jesus asked this question to his disciples, but we do know that it is a saying that has come down to us form Jesus. Perhaps we can learn a little ourselves if we ask the right question. Jesus phrases the question, at least in our English translation, to indicate he was interested in knowing who others thought he was. It is normal for others to ask about the opinion of others, but it is no ordinary person who is asking the question. The Word Incarnate is asking the same question as we do. We want to be accepted and have others think well of us. Jesus was much more different than we are. Jesus was not motivated by human opinion. Jesus was not motivated by the guesses of who others naturally thought he was. Jesus was interested in knowing if there was “faith in the hearts of men.” This is the most important thing that Jesus sought from everyone.
